Cyborg Muzak of Window

Step into a colourful hallucination with “Ytopi (feat. Temple Volant)” by the producer Window. This track is part of the Strands/Immersed collection, which gathers the early solo work of producer Igor Ivanov.

The song is a journey through what Ivanov calls cyborg muzak. It blends the steady pulse of electronica and juke with psychedelic, experimental beats. These recordings were the creative starting point for Ivanov before he moved toward more ambient projects, including his work with the duo AT/NU, which was famously released on the Vancouver-based label 1080p. This history links Window’s sharp, urban sound to the experimental electronic community of Western Canada.

“Ytopi” feels like a walk through a high-tech city at night—rhythmic and crisp, but full of dreamy textures. You can find the track on the album Strands/Immersed via Bandcamp.
