Half a year ago, I soft launched Canada At Large.
My vision was to create a 24-hour broadcast that showcases the scale, beauty, and diversity of Canadian talent, often playing peaceful, cinematic, and chill sounds that are perfect for mornings, focused work, and quiet late evenings.
Very recently, I added another 10 hours of Canadian music, which is about 150 new tracks from artists across Canada. This brings the entire station library to 75 hours! Because this online radio station flows through several scheduled time slots for different moods and times of day, this means there is now an incredible variety with no repetition in a single day.
My curation process of finding, sorting, and uploading music is more efficient, and I plan to add another 20 hours of music to the station in the next month. As my self-set goals keep evolving, I hope to reach at least 100 hours of Canadian music by Canada Day.
For listeners in Canada and from afar, Canada At Large is a place to discover reflective and inspiring music from every region. For artists, composers, and producers, this is a unique platform to reach new audiences. I believe each song highlights the raw diversity and beauty of the Canadian music scene.
As more people tune in directly through streaming platforms rather than following blog updates, I plan to post less frequently and focus on what matters most: discovering and sharing Canadian music.
Thank you for listening, wherever you may be. This journey to share Canadian talent continues, and I am grateful for everyone who listens.
